
Nokia 8 leaked video claims it will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
While HMD recently announced the pocket-friendly Nokia 6, we did not hear anything about the other speculated high-end and mid-segment models from the company. However, two videos said to be from CES 2017 event have surfaced online, which allegedly give us a sneak at the flagship Nokia 8 smartphone.
Of course HMD did not unveil or announce the Nokia 8 at CES, but the video shared by Total Tech claims that this smartphone was being used at the event to show off the new Snapdragon 835 chipset. And so they sneaked a little peek of the smartphone in these two videos. The Nokia 8 aka Nokia Supreme is believed to come in two variants — one with the latest Snapdragon 835 and 6GB of RAM, and the other with Snapdragon 821 chipset and 4GB of RAM.
One of the video reveals the camera unit on the Nokia 8. The smartphone is believed to feature a 24-megapixel primary camera with OIS and EIS support, along with a front-facing 12-megapixel snapper. In the video, we also hear the voice-over about dual front speakers on the handset, and that they feature a Super AMOLED QHD display.
The second video demos the camera on the Nokia 8. While the video does not reveal much about the working of the smartphone’s camera, but it focuses on the OIS feature. You can see the the clarity in the video shot from the smartphones even when the base on which they were fixed was being shaken throughout the video.
Besides these videos, we know a handful about the Nokia 8 till now. We know that the Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB of RAM would come with 64GB on-board storage, and the Snapdragon 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM will come with 128GB on-board storage, both of which are expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card. While that is all we know about the Nokia 8 as of now, two more Nokia smartphones, believed to be variants of the recently launched Nokia 6, were spotted on Bluetooth SIG certification website. The listing reveals the devices bearing model numbers TA-1000 and TA-1003. Rumor suggest that Nokia 6 will soon be hitting the Indian shores with a price tag of Rs 9,999, though some other leaks suggests that it may be priced higher at around $250, which is Rs 17,000 approximately.

The Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch in-cell full HD display with Gorilla Glass protection, and it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
In the photography department, the Nokia 6 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and phase detection auto-focus (PDAF). Up front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The Nokia 6 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery, and connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. There is also support for Dolby ATMOS audio.
