
Along with the launch of Micromax Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4, rumors of Vdeo 5 have also surfaced.
After launching the budget Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 smartphones last month, Micromax has now launched two new smartphones in this series. Micromax Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 like the former two, are also entry-level devices with 4G VoLTE support. Additionally, as is the primary feature of the Vdeo series, the Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 are also shipped preloaded with Google Allo and Duo messaging apps. While the Vdeo 3 is priced at Rs 5,749, the Vdeo 4 is priced at Rs 6,249.
Along with that, both Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 are also bundled with a Reliance Jio 4G SIM, which gives users free data and voice calling till March 2017, under the Happy New Year offer. It may be recalled Reliance Jio recently introduced a Happy New Offer, extending freebies till March 31, 2017. Under Jio’s new scheme, users get free voice and video calling, unlimited SMS, and unlimited 4G data (1GB per day).
Micromax Vdeo 3 specifications and features
The Micromax Vdeo 3 comes with a 5-inch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone features brushed metal finish body. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB onboard storage. The Vdeo 3 also comes preloaded with Android Marshmallow 6.0. On the photography front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Vdeo 3 is fuelled a 2,000mAh battery.
Micromax Vdeo 4 specifications and features
On the other hand, Micromax Vdeo 4, which is the higher variant of the two, features a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood, the Vdeo 4 too comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB onboard storage. On the camera front, the smartphone features an 8-megapixel rear camera with a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The Micromax Vdeo 4 is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery.
At the given price point the Micromax Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 will compete against the likes of Reliance Digital LYF Water 3 and Coolpad Note 3 Lite. Priced at Rs 6,599 the Reliance Digital LYF Water 3 features a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz paired with Adreno A405 3D GPU and 2GB of RAM. In terms of photography, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash along with a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery On the software front, the LYF Water 3 runs the older Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Connectivity options include dual SIM support (4G+2G), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G VoLTE support and GPS.
The Coolpad Note 3 Lite features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. In the photography department, the smartphone comes with 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front snapper. It draws its power from a 2,500mAh battery. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999.
Further, while the Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 smartphones have just been launched today, the Vdeo 5 is reportedly also on its way. A report by PriceBaba suggests that while the final release date and price isn’t yet known, they do have a bunch of specifications of the smartphone.
The website reveals that the Micromax Vdeo 5 will feature a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and 267ppi pixel density. Under the hood, it will be powered by a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB onboard storage, much like the Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4 smartphones.
On the camera front, the Micromax Vdeo 5 will sport a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and include features like autofocus, touch focus, self-timer, face detection, smile detection, HDR, face beauty, and more. Up front, it will come with a 2-megapixel camera.
Micromax Vdeo 5 will offer is dual-SIM support and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It will be fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery, and for connectivity options it will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0 port.
