
The much-rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will finally launch on February 14.
After launching the Redmi Note 4 last year, Xiaomi is all set to take the wraps off the follow up smartphone. According to a invite spotted on Weibo, Xiaomi is hosting an event in China on Valentine’s Day (February 14), where it is widely expected to launch the much rumored Redmi Note 4X.
The teaser, spotted by AndroidPure, doesn’t really mention the Redmi Note 4X, but the smartphone has been widely rumored recently. Thanks to TENAA listing, we even know what the smartphone might look like, and the kind of specifications it will boast. The images reveal a physical home button on the front, while the antenna bands run along the top and bottom of the smartphone. Needless to say, the physical home button up front will double up as a fingerprint sensor.

Based on what we have come across so far, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is expected to come with a 5.5-inch full HD display, MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 32GB/64GB storage options. If launched in India, the Redmi Note 4X could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 chipset.
On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X is expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera. There are no details as yet on the selfie camera of the smartphone. The smartphone is said to be powered by a 4,100mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone could run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based MIUI 8.1.
Rumors in the past suggested that the Redmi Note 4X holds some similarities with the Redmi Note 4 in terms of the specifications. The similarities include the MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, the 13-megapixel rear camera, and the 4,100mAh battery. Which make the Redmi Note 4X just a powerful variant of the Redmi Note 4.
To put the leaks into perspective, the Redmi Note 4 was launched with a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC in India. On the photography front, there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Other connectivity options include hybrid dual SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth. It draws its juice from a 4,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based on MIUI 8.
