
LG is hosting its MWC 2017 event on February 26, and the G6 won’t be the only smartphone unveiled.
LG is gearing up to launch its flagship G6 smartphone at MWC 2017 later this week, but it won’t be the only smartphone making an appearance. The company today announced a new smartphone called, LG X Power2, which is basically the successor to last year’s X Power. The LG X Power2 comes in black titan, shiny titan, shiny gold and shiny blue colors, and it will go on sale starting March in the Latin America, followed by United States, Asia and Europe. The pricing details are currently unknown, and they will be revealed at the time of availability.
The LG X Power2 is the latest addition to the X-series of smartphones, and among its highlight is the 4,500mAh battery. LG claims that the battery is good enough to last 15-18 hours on a single charge. LG further says that it will require an hour to charge the battery to 50 percent, and up to two hours for full charge. The company further says that the smartphone is aimed at customers who are power-hungry, multitask with apps and are gaming enthusiasts. Apart from this, the smartphone comes with Comfort View that makes reading eBooks and web comics more comfortable by reducing eye fatigue.
LG X Power2 specifications, features
The LG X Power2 is overall an iterative upgrade over the X Power smartphone. It comes with a big 5.5-inch HD In-cell Touch display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor. Though LG hasn’t revealed anything officially, reports claim it is a MediaTek processor paired with either 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM. There will also be 16GB of flash storage, which can be further expanded to 2TB via a microSD card.
In the photography department, the X Power2 is equipped with a a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with zero Shutter Lag. Up front, there will be a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens and soft LED flash for capturing better selfies in low light.

To put this into perspective, the LG X power sports a 5.3-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) In-Cell Touch display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The smartphone houses a large 4100mAh battery and supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1.
