
DataWind MoreGMax is a phablet with 6-inch display.
Datawind has launched the MoreGMax 3G6 phablet in the entry-level segment in India. The highlight of the device is it comes with one-year free internet. Datawind has partnered with Reliance Communications to offer free internet to all DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 buyers.
The offer, however, comes with a catch – free internet is available only over UbiSurfer browser which comes pre-installed on the phablet. For all other purposes, users will have to purchase a data pack. The free internet also does not include video surfing or downloads over UbiSurfer.
DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 features and specifications
DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 comes with a 6-inch display. The resolution is unknown. The phablet is a dual-SIM device that is powered by a by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 comes with 8GB inbuilt memory and supports expandable storage up to 32GB.
On the rear of the DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 is an 8-megapixel shooter and on the front is a 2-megapixel selfie camera. There’s no information on the battery capacity of the device either. While the DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 comes with “free” internet; but the device does not support 4G. This means Reliance Jio SIM card will not be compatible with the device. DataWind MoreGMax 3G6 will compete directly with the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi 4A, Micromax Spark Vdeo and Intex Aqua 4G Mini. But the biggest disadvantage of the phablet is the lack of 4G connectivity which nowadays even entry-level smartphones are now supporting.
