This is the second flash sale of the Redmi 4A since its launch earlier this month.
Grabbing eyeballs in the budget-smartphone segment, Xiaomi is all set to put the Redmi 4A on sale today. The sale will begin at 12PM via Amazon India and Mi.com. The Redmi 4A, priced at Rs 5,999 will be going on sale for the second time since its launch.
Just like the previous sale, the company has said that no new registrations are required for today’s sale either. People who want to buy the smartphone can directly head to Amazon India and hit the buy button when the clock strikes 12PM. The company didn’t reveal the total number of units it had put on sale today.
To put things into perspective, Xiaomi announced that it has sold 250,000 units of Redmi 4A on Amazon and Mi.com during its first flash sale, while Amazon India witnessed more than 5 million hits per minute for the sale. ALSO READ: Xiaomi Redmi 4A could be the new budget champion, here’s why
Xiaomi Redmi 4A specifications
To recap on the specifications front, the smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display. Running under the hood is a Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset paired with Adreno 308GPU and 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB.
The Redmi 4A will sport a 13-megapixel primary camera of aperture f/2.2 and 5-element lens, with a single LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front with an aperture of f/2.2. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots with a hybrid setup. In other words, you can either use two SIM cards, or a combination of a SIM card and a microSD card. On the connectivity front, the smartphone include 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.
