No, this is not Samsung Galaxy S8 pre-booking, and it does not require any payment.
Post the launch of the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ last week, the only thing awaited now is the price to be revealed and the sale to kick off. While the exact pricing for India is still under wraps, Samsung has opened pre-registrations for the Galaxy S8 smartphones in India.
Both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are listed on Samsung India’s official website, and the company is asking interested users to pre-register for its flagship smartphones. The pre-registration page asks customers to enter some personal details like name, mobile number, email id and pin code. Do note, the pre-registration is only a sign up for being among the first ones to get any update on the pre-booking, sales and pricing of the new smartphone. Samsung is not asking for any payments for the process.
The pre-registration page for the smartphones seems to be an updated version of the registration Samsung had called in before the launch, to tease the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. While in that registration Samsung teased what customers expect from the new smartphones, here the company quizzes people on their favorite feature of the smartphones. The list includes Infinity Display, Iris Scanner, Samsung Bixby, Industry-first 10nm chipset or others.
Now, while the official pricing of the smartphones is still a secret, in the US, the Galaxy S8 will be available for around $750 (Rs 48,700 approximately), and the Galaxy S8+ for around $850 (Rs 55,170 approximately).
