The specifications and the leaked images place the Moto X (2017) at a mid-range segment.
The Moto X (2017) is not new to the rumor mills. Last we saw the Moto X (2017) in Motorola’s 44th anniversary video sporting a Moto G5-like design. Now, several hands-on images of the smartphone has been spotted on Weibo revealing the design and few specifications of the smartphone.
The images, spotted by Androidsoul, show that the Moto X (2017) will come with a metal body, and this leak hints at a grey color variant. The Moto X (2017) will come with a physical home button, which will be placed below the display. The square-shaped home button is also said to double up as a fingerprint sensor. The smartphone also shows the presence of a LED flash for the front-facing camera. Also seen is the microUSB port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Coming to the rear end of the phone, the image shows the existence of a dual-camera setup along with a dual-LED flash. Right below the camera you can also spot the Motorola logo. However, one thing worth noting is that there is no connecting pins available at the rear side for Moto Mods accessories.
Additionally, one of the leaked images also reveal few hardware details of the smartphone. The smartphone is likely to feature 32GB of internal storage along with 4GB of RAM, and will be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset, which is in line with the previous rumor.
