The leaked commercial also reveals a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the Oppo R11.
Oppo is expected to launch its next R-series smartphone sometime next month. The rumored smartphone is called R11 and was last spotted on benchmarking website GFXBench. The smartphone has been rumored to come with dual-rear camera setup, and the latest leaked TV commercial confirms the presence of twin cameras at the back.
The leaked commercial (spotted by AndroidPure) of the alleged OPPO R11 is weak in resolution, which creates some doubt on whether the smartphone does sport a dual camera setup. However, TV commercial does confirm the name of the device, and confirms two color variants of – pink and gold. The commercial plays out with the focus being on the cameras, as expected. The end of the TV commercial shows the smartphone with its front and back panel, along with details of the selfie camera. It is expected to feature a 20-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
The details of the rear cameras are however not revealed. If this leak is to be believed, then the dual cameras on the Oppo R11 will be placed horizontally on the top left corner of the smartphone, sporting a look much like the iPhone 7 Plus. In terms of specifications, the Oppo R11 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. Under the hood, it could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 626 SoC. The Oppo R11 could come with 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 64GB. On the software front, the smartphone could run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. For photography, the GFXBench listing had shown the Oppo R11 could feature a single 16-megapixel rear camera, but no other details of the secondary camera are available at the moment. Along with the R11, the company could be launching another smartphone called R11 Plus. This could be a larger variant of the smartphone with display size of 6-inch. Considering how Oppo follows the trend of launching two variants of the same smartphone, there is a possibility that it could indeed launch the R11 and R11 Plus together. Last year Oppo launched the R9 and R9 Plus together, and then the successors, R9s and R9s Plus.
