The upcoming Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is expected to be priced below Rs 20,000 in India.

An upcoming Samsung smartphone, Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has appeared in leaks shared by Phonhorn. The device seems to be a mid-range phone with average specifications. Though the Max in the title suggests a powerful battery, the leaked specifications show more the focus is on the camera front.

The images show a traditional Samsung design with the home button below the display flanked by additional function buttons on either sides. On the back is the camera which comes with the colorful ring surrounding the lens. There are no other redeeming features when it comes to the design. The smartphone however, is expected to be the most powerful of the Samsung Galaxy J series. The smartphone might be a region specific device and not for all markets. In India, Samsung Galaxy J7 Max is expected to be announced next month.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Max features, specifications

As per the specs sheet revealed in the leak, Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will run on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone will come with a large 5.7-inch FHD TFT display. Samsung has also seemingly opted for an octa-core MediaTek MT6757V Helio P20 chipset. The phone will feature 32GB expandable internal storage with 4GB RAM.

The dual-SIM phone comes with 13-megapixel rear as well as front camera with LED flash. The rear camera comes with a f/1.7 aperture. The device also comes with Smart Glow 2.0 feature and will be available in two colors — Black and Gold. The phone sports a 3,300mAh battery. Since there is no official word from Samsung yet, and these are only leaks, there could be some variations when the phone finally arrives. Samsung Galaxy J7 Max will be 4G LTE compliant. On launch, the smartphone will compete with multiple camera-intensive devices in India, especially from Chinese manufacturers. Assuming the phone will be a budget to mid-range device, the device will be priced in the less than Rs 20,000 segment. In the segment, the device will compete with Vivo V5s, Oppo F1s, and the Moto G5 Plus to name a few.
