
The Lenovo Z2 Plus smartphone will be launched in India tomorrow. Here’s all we know about the upcoming smartphone so far.
Lenovo is gearing up for its tomorrow’s event where it will be showcasing the Z2 Plus smartphone. Building up to the launch, Lenovo has been teasing various aspects of the new smartphone on social media since last week. Lenovo has been promoting the launch of the smartphone with a tagline of #FastForward. The company has already revealed that the Z2 Plus be encased in a body made out of a material which will be lighter and stronger than a metal. Other than that the Lenovo Z2 Plus will feature an internal heat conduction technology, which will prevent the device from overheating. Now, the company has said that the Z2 Plus will be exclusively available on Amazon India.

According to previous teasers, the home button of the smartphone is expected to come with U-Touch technology, which will be used for both navigation and as a fingerprint scanner. Further, Lenovo has also teased a health app on the Z2 Plus, which will be called U-health. The app will should save and give you access to your health-related information.

From what has been already been known and officially revealed, the smartphone is expected to sport a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) LCD display. Under the hood, it will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. It will come with 64GB internal storage. On the camera front, the Lenovo Z2 Plus will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera, which will come with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, electronic image stabilization (EIS) and 4K video recording capabilities, while on the front it will feature an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80 degrees wide-angle lens.
The smartphone will be fueled by a 3,500mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. For connectivity, the smartphone is expected to offer options like dual-SIM, 4G LTE support, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Z2 Plus will run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under ZUI 2.0.
The Lenovo Z2 Plus is said to be the rebranded version of the Lenovo ZUK Z2, which is available in China for 1,800 Yuan, which is approximately Rs 18,400. In India, the smartphone is expected to be launched in the vicinity of Rs 20,000. If the smartphone is priced in this range, it will be competing against the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 5, Asus Zenfone 3 and OnePlus 3.
