Motorola’s Amit Boni says that they have managed to sell 1 lakh Moto E3 Power smartphones on Flipkart in just a day since launch.
Lenovo-backed Motorola launched its new Moto E3 Power smartphone in India earlier this week on September 19. In just one day since it went on sale on Flipkart, the company has managed to sell 100,000 units of the smartphone. Motorola India’s country head Amit Boni announced the milestone on Twitter, calling it a history and record breaking spree. The Moto E3 Power is an affordable Android smartphone priced at Rs 7,999, and available via Flipkart. The e-commerce site is also offering EMI offers on paying via credit cards.
The numbers are pretty impressive considering the competition in the affordable price segment. The Moto E3 Power competes with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, both of which are priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 8,499 respectively. At the time of filing this story, the Moto E3 Power was out of stock on Flipkart. As the name suggests, the Moto E3 Power comes with a 3,500mAh battery with Turbo Charging feature. Motorola says the battery is good enough to last for the entire day and even 15 minutes of charging can offer battery life of up to five hours.
Motorola has also launched the fourth generation Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 Play smartphones in India, all placed between Rs 8,999 to Rs 14,499 price range. The Moto E3 Power and Moto G4-series smartphones feature 4G VoLTE support for HD voice calling, and water repellant nano-coating, making the smartphones splash resistant. This means the smartphones can survive accidental splash of water or light rains. ALSO READ: Moto E3 Power hands-on and first impressions
