
Nokia 6 will go on an exclusive sale on July 14 via Amazon India and users can avail pay balance offers.
HMD Global has finally announced the Nokia Android smartphones in India today. The much awaited Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones debuted with price tags of Rs 9,499, Rs12,899 and Rs 14,999, respectively. While the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be made available offline, the Nokia 6 smartphone will be exclusive to Amazon India.About the Nokia 6 first, the top-end among the three Nokia smartphones launched today will be available on the e-commerce platform starting from July 14. Nokia and Amazon India will be hosting special offers for the sale scheduled next month. Notably, Amazon Prime members can be served with more offers than regular customers on the e-commerce portal. From what we know so far, Nokia has announced an introductory Rs 1000 cash back for Prime members who buy Nokia 6 using Amazon Pay service on the day of sale.
On the other hand, HMD Global has kept Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 limited to brick and mortar shops. The company is said to have roped in over 400 offline distributors to make the two smartphones available in over 80,000 retails stores. Nokia 3 will be available across offline stores from June 16, while Nokia 5 will be up for pre-bookings from July 7. The Nokia 6, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 pack decent specification at the prices they are being offered. Also, prices of the three smartphones put them in direct competition with Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 which are priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 9,999 respectively. The two Redmi smartphones have reportedly shown a successful feat in the country. While for Nokia, the nostalgia value might help them get a lead there. Nokia 6 was launched earlier this year in January without much fanfare while the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 smartphone were launched at MWC 2017 in February. More about Nokia 6, it packs best specifications among the three. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage. The onboard storage can further be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
In terms of optics, Nokia 6 has a 16-megapixel primary camera sensor with LED Flash, Auto Focus, and PDAF. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 and Nokia boasts of Pure Android experience on all Nokia Android smartphone. It houses a 3,000 mAh battery and comes with inbuilt dual speakers and Dolby Atmos support.
