Nokia 9 case leak reveals design details, dual-camera setup, 3.5mm jack

Details about Nokia 9 have continued to emerge ahead of its official launch. The latest leak gives a closer a look at the case of the smartphone.


Nokia 9 is expected to be a premium device with top-of-the-line specifications and features. Details about Nokia 9 have continued to emerge online ahead of its official launch. The latest leak gives a closer a look at the smartphone’s rear case.

First spotted by slashleaks, the image shows a blue rear case for the upcoming Nokia 9 smartphone. Today’s leaked case confirms dual-camera setup of the smartphone. Right below the dual camera, there is another cutout which might most likely be the fingerprint sensor. Early rumors claimed that the device might also get the virtual fingerprint sensor, however, there is no confirmation on that yet. Earlier reports claim that the Nokia 9 could launch in Q3,2017. While there is no official word, it was also reported that the smartphone can be priced at $699 in the US and Euro 749 in Europe, which is around Rs 45,000 in India.

The Nokia 9 has also been spotted on benchmarking site Geekbench revealing few expected specifications. To start with, the smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch QHD display. Up front, the phone will most likely come with a 2.5D curved display on top. On the camera front, the phone will also come with a 13-megapixel dual rear camera setup and a front camera of the same resolution. On the software front, the phone will most likely run on the latest Android version, (Android Nougat out-of-the-box with an Android O update rolling out soon).
