WhatsApp has undergone many changes in the past few months. Now, yet another leak suggests that WhatsApp is testing YouTube integration for its app. Which basically means, WhatsApp will soon let you view YouTube videos without leaving the app.
The feature was spotted by WABetaInfo on the latest WhatsApp beta build for iOS. So essentially, WhatsApp will allow users to play YouTube video links in a picture-in-picture mode. The floating window that appears on the screen can be resized using pinch-to-zoom gesture. Further, the app will also give users an option to open the video in fullscreen mode, and hide the chat window. According to the report, users won’t be able to continue watching the video once they leave the app, or switch to any other chat window. There is however no word on when this feature will be rolled out for Android users. ALSO READ: Hoax alert: Read this before you freak out about the ‘banks shutting down’ WhatsApp message
