Xiaomi Mi Max 2 to go on sale from July 20: Here’s everything you need to know

Xiaomi today launched the Mi Max 2 in India, which carries a price tag of Rs 16,999. For those wondering, the Mi Max 2 will be going on sale in the country from July 20. Hit the break to know more about the sale.

Like we know, Xiaomi is celebrating its third anniversary in India, and is hosting a two-day sale on July 20-21. The Mi Max 2 will be available on mi.com for the first time on both these days. The phablet will also be available at the Mi Home store in Bengaluru. The sale will begin at 12:00 PM, and registrations for this sale is not required.

After the first sale, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be widely available across e-commerce sites starting July 27. The sites include Flipkart, Amazon India, Paytm Mall and Tata CLiQ, and the sale is scheduled to begin at 10:00AM. Apart from that, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will also be available via offline stores like Poorvika, BigC, Sangeetha, LOT, Vijay Sales, and e-Zone.

At the launch event today, Xiaomi also announced that it will be opening two Mi Homes in Bengaluru on July 22 and July 29 as a part of its aim to have 100 Mi Homes across the country within two years. Xiaomi’s first Mi Home was inaugurated with the launch of Redmi 4 smartphone back in May. The first Mi Home is located at Phoenix Market City Whitefield in Bengaluru.

Coming back to the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, its USP is a 5,300mAh battery that is said to be good enough to last for two days on a single charge. You can also play games up to nine hours, and get talk time of up to 57 hours on the new Mi Max 2, the company says. In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage. On the camera front, the phablet sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX386 sensor. The rear camera also comes with features like auto-focus, LED flash, PDAF support, and HDR. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera. For connectivity, the phablet includes dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB Type-C support, and runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 wrapped under MIUI 8 out-of-the-box.
