Vivo‘s dual-selfie camera smartphone, the V5 Plus has received a price cut on Flipkart. The Vivo V5 Plus is now available for Rs 22,990 after an 11 percent discount. Vivo had originally launched the smartphone at Rs 27,980 after which the price went down to Rs 25,990. The IPL edition of the smartphone which comes in matte black color with an 18-carat IPL mascot engraved on the back also gets a discount. Otherwise, the Vivo V5 Plus is available in gold color. Since this price cut isn’t part of any sale, it isn’t confirmed if it’ll remain permanent or just temporary.
The highlight of Vivo V5 Plus is its dual-selfie camera setup, which is a pair of 20-megapixel IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 5P lens system, and an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The dual selfie cameras are capable of producing bokeh effects in selfies with the 20-megapixel sensor capturing photos and the 8-megapixel sensor for capturing depth information. The front cameras are also equipped with Vivo’s ‘moonlight glow’ LED flash aimed to help capture better selfies in low-light conditions.
Vivo V5 Plus specifications
The Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch full HD display along with a 2.5D curved glass on top and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. Apart from its dual-selfie cameras, the Vivo V5 Plus also houses a 16-megapixel camera on the rear end which comes with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 4K video recording capabilities. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,055mAh battery, and comes with Vivo’s dual-charging engine technology for fast charging. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based Funtouch OS 3.0. Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support (nano SIM slots), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and USB OTG. The smartphone also comes with a front fingerprint sensor.
