HTC will start shipping the Solar Red U11 after August 26.
HTC launched its flagship smartphone, the U11 in India back in May. The smartphone was earlier available in two color options of Brilliant Black and Amazing Silver, while a third Sapphire Blue color variant was launched last month. HTC has now launched a Solar Red color variant of the U11. If the Ice White variant is launched, then it would complete the lineup of the U11 in India.
The Solar Red HTC U11 is available for purchase on the company’s e-store, for the same price of Rs 51,990. With the purchase of this product, HTC will be offering a free car charger of 20W. HTC will start shipping the Solar Red U11 after August 26. The different colors on the HTC U11 are highlighted with a 3D liquid glass surface that gives a very glossy look to the device. The smartphone’s highlight, however, remains with the Edge Sense technology. This feature allows users to squeeze the sides of the U11 to launch apps, and voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant.

HTC U11 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display along with Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection. At the heart of the smartphone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
In terms of photography, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel rear camera with UltraPixel technology, 5-axis OIS, EIS and f/1.7 aperture. It also comes with support for 4K video recording and 360-degree sound recording. HTC also claims that the U11 is the highest ranked smartphone camera by DXoMark. The connectivity options available on the U11 include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C support. The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Sense 9.0 layered on top. The smartphone also comes with IP57 certification for water and dust resistance.
