Here's how to install Android 7.1.1 Nougat on Yu Yureka Black.
Yu made a comeback in the Indian market with its Yureka Black smartphone this June. The smartphone is priced at Rs 8,999, and runs Android 6.0 out-of-the-box. However, at the time of launch, Yu promised that it will be rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update to the device soon. Keeping that promise, Yu has started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for all Yureka Black smartphones.
The update will be rolled out via OTA. However, in-order to get OTA update you need to be on stock Android M firmware. Once the update hits the device, users will get the notification for the same. You can also check for the update availability manually by going to Settings -> About -> System Update -> Check for Update. Download the update and install it.
Talking about the update, the Android Nougat will bring a host of new features to the Yu Yureka Black, such as multi-window app support, power-saving ‘Doze’ feature, and background system updates among others. One major relief that Yureka Black users will experience is the bug fixes and performance improvements that come with the latest update. This Nougat update also helps users save battery and consume less memory when the screen is turned off, which further helps saving battery life. Another interesting feature that comes with the update is instant apps, which allow users to begin using or testing an app within Google Play Store before actually downloading the app. ALSO READ: Xiaomi Redmi 4 to YU Yureka Black: 5 smartphones with full HD display under Rs 10,000
