
Lenovo has teased the launch of its K8 Plus smartphone on Twitter.
Lenovo launched the K8 Note in India earlier this month, and the company is already prepping for another K8 series smartphone. Lenovo has teased the launch of K8 Plus smartphone on Twitter. The smartphone will launch in India on September 6, and will be a Flipkart exclusive. The smartphone is expected to be priced in the mid-range category.
Lenovo had been teasing the K8 Plus smartphone on Twitter with the hashtag #KraveForMore. Its latest teaser shows a glimpse of the K8 Plus. On the right side of the smartphone, the SIM card slot and power key are visible. Although details are scarce, Lenovo says that the K8 Plus will come with a good camera, smooth performance, and powerful battery. The smartphone had been spotted on benchmarking website Geekbench earlier this month.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Lenovo K8 Plus has a single-core score of 861 and a multi-core score of 3,761. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, and comes with 3GB of RAM. Under its hood is a MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core processor clocked at 1.69GHz. Like the K8 Note, Lenovo is expected to continue the stock Android presence in the K8 Plus as well. In addition to the K8 Plus, Lenovo is rumored to launch another smartphone called the K8. However, there isn’t any information on the K8 as of now, and Lenovo hasn’t teased the smartphone either.
To recall, the K8 Note features a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio X23 deca-core processor. The K8 Note comes in two variants of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. For photography, the K8 Note sports a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a pair of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The dual cameras are capable of achieving depth-of-field effect on photos. Up front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash. The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery along with rapid charging technology using a 15W charger. Connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth and GPS. The smartphone also features a rear fingerprint sensor, and nano coating for water spillage.
