LG is expected to take the wraps off the K3 (2017) and K4 (2017).
LG has started sending out media invites for a press conference on September 27, which is day one of India Mobile Congress 2017. While the invite does not explicitly mention, an embossed ‘K’ letter indicates it could be the launch of new smartphones from the company’s affordable K-Series.
Long-standing rumors indicate LG could launch the new K3 or K4 smartphones, which were first detailed at CES 2017 alongside the K8 and K10. While the 2017 editions of K8 and K10 smartphones have already made it to the shore, the K3 (2017) and K4 (2017) are yet to be announced for the Indian market.
LG K3 (2017) specifications
LG K3 (2017) packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) on-cell touch display. Under the hood, MediaTek MSM8909 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.1GHz is paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. For optics, the entry-level smartphone packs a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front camera. The LG K3 is fueled by a 2,100mAh removable battery. The smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and USB 2.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It is likely to be available in color choices of Metallic Titan and Pink Gold.
