
The Gionee M7's 6.01-inch FullView display comes with 18:9 aspect ratio.
As expected, Gionee launched its “FullView” display smartphone, the M7 in China today. The Gionee M7 is priced at RMB 2,799 which translates to approximately Rs 27,600. Gionee will also be launching another smartphone, the M7 Power on September 28 in Thailand. The Gionee M7 comes in five colors – Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Champagne Gold, Black and Maple Red.
Incorporating FullView display, the smartphone sports almost no bezels on the sides, and very thin ones on top and bottom. At the rear, the dual cameras are placed at the top left corner of the smartphone. The rear fingerprint sensor is located at the centre of the rear chassis. The Gionee M7 also comes with a built-in security encryption chip for secure mobile payments. Overall, the smartphone is wrapped in a metal body.

The Gionee M7 features a 6.01-inch full HD (1080p) FullView AMOLED display of 18:9 aspect ratio, and a 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P30 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz paired with ARM Mali-G71 GPU. In terms of memory, the smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear. The pair includes a 16-megapixel primary camera of f/1.8 aperture, and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. The dual cameras are accompanied by an LED flash. Up front, it sports an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The connectivity options available on the Gionee M7 include dual-SIM support (Hybrid SIM slot), 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC. The smartphone is fueled by a 4,000mAh battery along with support for fast charging. On the software front, it runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Amigo OS 5.0 layered on top.
