
The official sale for the OnePlus 5T will start on November 28 in India.
Just yesterday we got to know that the OnePlus 5T will be launching in New York. OnePlus has now officially announced that the OnePlus 5T launch will take place on November 16, and more specifically in Brooklyn, New York. OnePlus titles the launch event as “A New View”, and it will start at 11:00AM EST which translates to 9:30PM IST in India. The event will be livestreamed and you can watch it by following OnePlus official launch page here.
For those interested in attending the OnePlus 5T launch can do so by purchasing the event tickets through their launch page. The tickets are priced at $40 (approximately Rs 2,600), and will be available for purchase from November 8. Interestingly, OnePlus has also revealed the availability details of the OnePlus 5T for global markets. The OnePlus 5T will go on sale in North America and Europe on November 21, and in China on December 1. In India, there will be a flash sale for the OnePlus 5T on November 21 for early birds, with the official sales starting on November 28.
Prior to its unveiling, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau may have hinted on the possible pricing of the OnePlus 5T. Lau replied to a query on Weibo if 4,000 RMB (approximately Rs 39,100) would be enough for the OnePlus 5T. To this, Lau simply replied by saying “Enough”. If this is to be believed then the OnePlus 5T would be costlier than the OnePlus 5 which retails at RMB 3,499 (approximately Rs 34,200) in China for the higher variant. Based on leaks and rumors, the OnePlus 5T will possibly feature an edge-to-edge display design similar to the OnePlus 5T. In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 5T is expected to feature a 6-inch full HD+ AMOLED display running Snapdragon 835 SoC under its hood. Like the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T is also said to launch with the same storage variants of 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM plus 128GB storage. For photography, the smartphone is rumored to sport the same dual-camera setup as the OnePlus 5, but with upgraded features. The phone is further expected to be fueled by a 3,450mAh battery with Dash Charging support. On the software front, it will possibly run on Android 8.0 Oreo with the latest OxygenOS out-of-the-box.
