The Pixel Buds are now shipping only for the people who booked them back in October.

Despite the fun Google made at Apple’s expense last year (read: which Google repeated itself this year), it seems to be drawing almost identical plan of action maps. First drop the headphone jack, and then launch a crazy-impressive set of new headphone to distract the audience from all the inconvenience caused. But while Apple included a 3.5mm to lightning adapter with its iPhones, Google has done no such thing. So, in all probability, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL owners have till now just been waiting for the Buds to go on sale to listen to music. Fortunately for them, that time is here.

As reported by 9to5Google, early orders of Google Pixel Buds are now shipping. Going by the shipping confirmation screenshots, it appears the $159 (Rs 10,000 approximately) headphones will arrive somewhere around the middle of this week. But that would be for the people who placed orders back in October. If you placed orders recently, you would have to wait another month. So says the Google retail website. And if you haven’t still, you can still join the “waitlist” from Google’s online retail store. Pixel Buds are available in three color choices of Just Black, Clearly White, and Kinda Blue.

The Pixel Buds are a pair of wireless (but attached) headphones, with a behind-the-neck design. The highlight of these headphones is the fact that it is powered by Google’s voice assistant, and is capable of real-time translation. Google Assistant too can be activated by simply tapping on the right earpiece. Once activated, a user can talk for queries or real-time translation. Google says, the Pixel Buds offers support for translating around 40 languages. ALSO READ: Google Assistant now has a Shazam-like functionality

Other than that, the Pixel Buds also features controls for play/pause, and volume, which are placed on the left earpiece. As per Google, the Pixel Buds can provide up to five hours of listening time. The charging case itself can provide multiple charges with up to 24 hours of listening on-the-go. ALSO READ: Google Home Mini, Google Home Max launched: Now do much more with Google Assistant
