After launching Smartron srt.phone last year looks like Smartron is all set to launch a new smartphone in India soon. According to Gizbot, the company will launch the t.phone P in India on January 18. The report further says that the smartphone will be priced less than Rs 9,000, and will be available via Flipkart.
The smartphone is expected to be backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery, which will also be the USP of the t.phone P smartphone. Further, the report claimed that the phone will boast a metal unibody design. There will also be 32GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB. No other details about the smartphone are known at the moment.
Smartron had previously launched the srt.phone, which boasts a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC with 32GB of onboard storage. One of the other highlights is Android 7.1.1 Nougat with near stock UI.
There’s a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera. In the budget category, the new srt.phone was up against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Lenovo K6 Power, and Coolpad Cool 1 to name a few.
Meanwhile, Smartron has announced that it will collaborate with multiple partners to launch its devices in the Middle-East. The company will also introduce “tronX” on these devices, which is an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered IoT platform that allows instant access to content, services, Cloud, care, community and other IoT devices whether you are at home, in the car or at the office.
