Last year, Micromax launched its Canvas 5 smartphone which was praised for its aggressive pricing and noteworthy performance. Now, while Micromax has already launched its successor – the Canvas 6 with metal unibody design and fingerprint scanner, it has also listed the Canvas 5 lite special edition smartphone on its website. With a focus on design, the smartphone comes with wooden finish back panel which looks aesthetically appealing and offers a premium look and feel to it. While the Motorola Moto X had a variant with wooden back panel finish, Micromax is the first local manufacturer to do so.
