New leaked photos reveal design details of the much awaited Lenovo ZUK Edge.

Just recently, ZUK’s CEO Chang Cheng confirmed that the much awaited ZUK Edge smartphone will be launching as soon as next week. Leaks in the past had made it clear that the ZUK Edge will not come with a dual-edge curved display. Now, the latest leaked live images of the smartphone also confirm the same and reveal the overall design of the smartphone.

A total of four images has been leaked showing off all the sides of the upcoming smartphone, reports Androidpure. At the rear, we can see the circular camera module along with LED flash and laser focus. The back panel is made of glass similar to the one on Mi 5. Next image shows the bottom of the device where we can spot the USB C-type port and a 3.5 mm audio jack along with speaker grille. On the top, you can clearly spot the antenna lines. Up front, the smartphone comes with a physical home button, which will double as a fingerprint scanner. The phone comes with very thin bezels at the sides and hence proves that the ZUK Edge will not come with a curved edge display like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge as rumored before.

Lenovo ZUK Edge specifications

The ZUK Edge is said to feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. Under the hood, we can expect Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz, and an Adreno 530 GPU. The smartphone will be paired with 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB of internal storage. Rumors further suggest that there won’t be an option to expand the memory storage further.

On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Up front, there will be an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone will be armed with a 3,000mAh battery and connectivity options such as Bluetooth, GPS, 4G LTE with VoLTE support and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. The smartphone will weigh around 160 grams and will be 7.68mm thick. On the software front, the smartphone could run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.

The company is yet to announce a specific date for the launch and we expect that to happen soon. The ZUK Edge smartphone is expected to launch in China first, but there is no word on when it could arrive in other markets.
