The latest leaked photos of the Le 2s shows that the next generation Le smartphone retains the same antenna band designs as the Le 2 and comes in a full metal design.
LeEco’s rumored Le 2s is slated to be launched next month and a host of rumors and leaks about the smartphone have emerged online already. While the last leaked images revealed that polycarbonate back panel, new leaked image claim the smartphone will retain the full metal design. While the last round of rumors said the Le 2s might come with a different design for antenna bands, similar to rumored Apple iPhone 7, the new leaked image though suggest the smartphone may retain the old pattern, which is seen on existing Le smartphones. The leaked images further show that camera lens is placed on the top left corner of the back panel, unlike the Le 2, which has the set up on the top center followed by fingerprint scanner. The leaked images further show the volume buttons and the power button both placed on the right side of the smartphone.
According to GSMArena report, suggests that the differences popping up in the leaked images could be so because Le Eco will most probably launch two models next month. One could be dubbed as Le 2s and the other as Le 2s Pro, and that the devices could come with different designs. But nothing can be said for sure right now. Based on rumors and leaks accumulated so far, the soon-to-be launched Le 2s could feature a 5.5-inch 1080p full HD display and bear the model number X720. The smartphone is expected to run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC under the hood. There are rumors of a higher variant of the smartphone, which could come with a whopping 8GB of RAM and the lower variant with 4GB of RAM and internal storage of 32GB.
The smartphone is likely to sport a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The Le 2s is also rumored to ditch the 3.5mm audio port like the Le Max 2 and instead opt for the USB Type-C port with CDLA technology. On the software front, the Le 2s could run on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on top of LeEco’s UI. The launch date of the smartphone is expected to be September 9.
LeEeco’s Le 2s could be the successor to the Le 2 which was launched in India on June 8 for Rs 11,999. The launch in India came almost two months after its official launch in China. LeEco’s ditching of the 3.5mm audio jack began with the Le 2 and welcomed the USB Type-C port. The LeEco Le 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD display. The smartphone comes with internal storage of 32GB without microSD support. The Le 2 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash, and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support, and offers connectivity options like dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under EUI 5.8. The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner placed under the rear camera which offers an added layer of security as well.
