
Until now, the Mi Max Prime had been exclusive to Xiaomi’s own e-store.
The Xiaomi Mi Max Prime is going on sale today via mi.com, and for the first time via Amazon India. The smartphone was launched in October, but had been exclusive to Xiaomi’s own e-store. The Mi Max Prime will now be made available on the e-commerce site as part of the Amazon Great Indian sale. At the time of filing this story, the smartphone is not in stock, but is expected to be soon available for purchase. Priced at Rs 19,999, the smartphone comes in three color choices of gold, silver, and grey. But if you plan on buying it off Amazon India, you can only choose from the gold color.
As of now, there are no offers shown on Mi Max Prime’s page, however, under the sale period Amazon India is known to offer a host of discounts and cashbacks which could also bring down the cost of the Mi Max Prime. Under the Great Indian Festival, Amazon is offering additional discounts to Citibank credit or debit card users if they buy a product. While users who buy from the desktop website can avail a 10 percent discount, those who use the app are entitled to additional 15 percent discount. There are also no-cost EMI options along with some bonuses.
Xiaomi Mi Max Prime specifications
The smartphone has been around for a couple of months. But to recall, the Mi Max Prime boasts a metal unibody design with a fingerprint scanner at the rear. It comes with 6.44-inch full HD (1080p) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is also an option for users to further boost the memory using microSD card.
In the photography department, the Mi Max Prime comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 along with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF. Up front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with beautify mode, 85-degrees wide-angle lens. The smartphone draws its juice from a 4,850mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can offer full day talktime and can last 20 percent more than the Redmi Note 3.

In comparison, the Mi Max offers a different SoC and storage while rest of the specification remains the same. The Mi Max is powered by Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It is also priced slightly less at Rs 14,999.
