Along with the much-awaited launch of the ZenWatch 3, Asus also unveiled the ZenScreen portable monitor and re-introduced the ZenPad 3S 10 tablet at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

The ZenWatch 3 wasn’t the only thing Asus had in store at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany. Asus also re-introduced ZenPad 3S 10 tablet, and launched a portable monitor named ZenScreen. The ZenPad 3S 10 was first unveiled at an event in Taiwan back in July. Surprisingly, the re-launch of the tablet at the IFA did not see any new addition to the device. While the previous launch was Taiwan-specific, the IFA launch marks the global launch of the tablet. The pricing of the ZenPad 3S 10 during the Taiwan launch was tagged at TWD 11,000, which is Rs 23,000 approximately, and is expected to be priced in the same range even now, considering it is only a re-launch.

Asus ZenPad 3S 10 specifications and features

The ZenPad 3S 10 tablet features a 9.7-inch display (1536×2048 pixels) with LED backlighting. Like its predecessors, the tablet is equipped with Tru2Life technology, which the company claims enhanced brightness, sharpness, and picture contrast. Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with a hexa-core MediaTek chipset clocked at 1.6GHz, along with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB onboard storage, which is further expandable via a microSD card.

It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow underneath ASUS ZenUI, the smartphone is fueled by a 5,900mAh battery, which comes with fast charging support. On the connectivity front, the tablet features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port. Also read: Reliance Jio 4G launch: LYF Flame 6 is the cheapest 4G VoLTE smartphone, priced at Rs 2,999

Weighing at 800 gm, the Asus ZenScreen portable monitor is touted as the world’s lightest and slimmest Full HD portable monitor. The ZenScreen sports a near edge-to-edge display with ultra-thin 6.5mm bezels. Along with that, it comes with a 1mm foldable smart case, which can work as a stand. The portable monitor is meant to be used as a second screen for devices like laptops, tables and even smartphones. Additionally, the ZenScreen sports a hybrid USB Type-C port which supports power and video transmission. Asus has priced the ZenScreen for 269 Euros, which is approximately Rs 20,000, however, nothing was announced regarding the monitor’s official release date.
