The Redmi Note 4X will go on sale in China on Valentine’s Day.


After a series of leaks and rumors, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4X has been officially announced. Xiaomi hasn’t announced all the details including pricing and complete specifications of the smartphone as yet. The Redmi Note 4X will be available in China from February 14. The smartphone is available in four color versions Champagne Gold, Cherry Powder, Platinum Silver Grey and Matte Black. There’s also a Hatsune Miku special edition of the Redmi Note 4X.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X appears to be a minor update over the Redmi Note 4, which launched in India late last year. As leaked renders had shown in the past, the Redmi Note 4X looks very similar to the Redmi Note 4 with metal unibody and antenna lines running across top and bottom of the rear panel.

The Redmi Note 4X has 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D glass on top. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor instead of MediaTek Helio X20, which fuels the China variant of the Redmi Note 4. Though in India, Xiaomi has Snapdragon 625-based version. The company hasn’t disclosed the RAM size on the phone but rumors suggest it will be 4GB.

It has a 13-megapixel camera along with fingerprint scanner on the back. It has a 5-megapixel front facingcamera. The smartphone is powered by a 4,1000mAh battery. In comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a 5.5-inch full HD display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor in India. It is available in 2GB of RAM with 32GB of onboard storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of onboard storage versions.

On the photography front, it sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. Connectivity options include hybrid dual SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth. It draws its juice from a 4,100mAh battery.
