Be ready to say goodbye to your productivity.

Nintendo is finally coming to smartphones and it is coming first on iOS. The first game is called Super Mario Run. The game has been designed specifically for smartphones and Mario would run towards the right. For the very first time, you would be able to play the game with one hand.

The game involves collecting as many coins as possible and reach the flag pole. Instead of dodging enemies, there will be spaces that Mario needs to avoid. To make Mario jump you will have to press the screen and the longer you press the higher Mario would jump. Higher levels will also include blocks that change Mario’s direction.

Nintendo is also bringing a multiplayer competitive mode called Toad Rally where you can compete with others. The winner is the one who collects the most coins and “toads”. Mario Run will be a paid game and will be launched in time for Holidays this year. Nintendo is also launching Mario stickers for iMessage along with iOS 10 launch.

Tim Cook also announced that games are the largest category in the App Store and there are over half-a-million games on the App Store. He also announced that app downloads have witnessed a 106 percent annual growth rate in July and August. Cook also said that 140 billion apps have been downloaded from the App Store so far and it has twice the revenue globally than its closest competitor, which would be Android.
