The new headphones are part of the company’s popular everyday lineup, with prices ranging from Rs 3,990 to Rs 7,990
German headphone specialist Sennheiser has launched two new headphone series in India, the HD 4 and HD 2. The successors to the company’s popular PX 100, PX 200 and HD 200 series models, the HD 4 and HD 2 ranges represent Sennheiser’s latest effort to win over the mid-range market for headphones.
The more expensive of the two ranges is the Sennheiser HD 4. The Rs 5,990 HD 4.20S has an around-ear design, and features a folding headband and one-button remote with microphone for hands-free use. The Rs 7,990 HD 4.30 is also an around-ear headset and comes in two variants; one with a remote that works with iOS devices and another built for Android devices. Both remotes have three buttons and a microphone, and this headset also has a folding design for easy storage. The HD 4.30 headphones are powered by 32mm dynamic drivers.
The other range launched is the HD 2, with four variants within the range. The HD 2.30i and HD 2.30G are priced at Rs 6,990, and come with dedicated remotes and microphones suited for iOS and Android devices respectively. The Rs 4,990 HD 2.20S features a one-button remote and microphone, while the Rs 3,990 HD 2.10 does not have a remote and microphone. All the headphones in the HD 2 range have a folding design for easy storage, and are on-ear headphones.
Earlier this year, Sennheiser had launched the Rs 6,490 HD 200 PRO headphones in India, which have a neutral sonic signature and are designed to take on Audio Technica’s popular M range of headphones. The HD 4 and HD 2 range are more suited to everyday use and comfort, with a sonic signature that is more bass oriented.
