Moto E3 Power hands-on and first impressions

The purported Moto E4 Plus passed through the Federal Communications Commission certification.

After Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto E3 Power last year, looks like the company is pulling up its socks to release its successor now. Just last week, we came across a bunch of leaks around the Moto E4, which gave away some crucial details of the purported smartphone. And now, a Motorola device with the model number XT1773, has been spotted passing the Federal Communications Commission. This device is speculated to be the larger variant of the Moto E4, and will be dubbed as Moto E4 Plus.

According to the certification listing, the purported Moto E4 Plus will be packed with a whopping 5,000mAh battery, which would also make it the largest ever a Motorola smartphone has featured. The FCC filing also shows the smartphone with connectivity features like 4G LTE, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11-n support, Bluetooth Low Energy (v4.2), and NFC. And, under the hood, the Moto E4 Plus will be powered by a MediaTek chipset.

Further, like we mentioned, a Moto E4 has also been spotted under works. Last week, a smartphone with model number XT1762 was certified by FCC, and is believed to be the Moto E4. According to that listing, the Moto E4 would run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. As compared to the Moto E4 Plus’ speculated 5,000mAh battery, this listing showed the Moto E4 with a 2,800mAh battery. Similar to the former, for connectivity, the Moto E4 would feature options such as dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi to name a few. The listing also revealed a 16GB built-in storage on the smartphone. However, it is interesting to note, that previous rumors have suggested that the Moto E4 could feature a big 4,000mAh battery. Previous rumors have also suggested that there will be multiple variants launched, including one featuring 32GB onboard storage. ALSO READ: Moto E4 specifications, features spotted online; rumored to launch soon
