The LG G6 is speculated to be priced at Rs 51,990.
LG yesterday confirmed that it will be launching its flagship, the G6 in India on April 24. The smartphone is now up for pre-orders on LG’s official website. LG had begun pre-registrations for the G6 on April 18 and there were speculations that the pre-booking would start by today. LG hasn’t listed the price for the G6 but mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom claims that it will be available for Rs 51,990. The stock availability for the G6 is also mentioned as April 29 being the last date.
LG has a couple of introductory offers listed out on purchasing the G6. For starters, HDFC and SBI card holders will receive cash back of Rs 5,000. There is additional Rs 2,000 cash back offer on pre-booking the LG G6. LG has its Tone Active+ HBS A100 Bluetooth headset up for grabs at a discount of 50 percent. The LG Tone Active+ HBS A100 currently sells at $179 (Rs 11,600 approximately) in the US. LG also has special rewards worth Rs 14,100 on six smartphone games upon purchasing the G6. These games include Cookie Jam, Temple Run 2, Simcity Buildit, Spiderman Unlimited, Genies & Gems and Crossy Road.
In addition to this, the retailer also lists out another offer which is not mentioned on LG’s website. This offer includes a free one time screen replacement within six months of purchasing the G6. While the price cannot be confirmed, we will have to wait for the official launch which is just two days away to see what LG has in store for its Indian customers.
LG had launched the G6 at the MWC 2017 expo, keeping in mind the mistakes made last year with the G5. To begin with, LG did not repeat the modular functionality on the G6 which did not work out for the G5. LG made some major changes like a new design with thin bezels, dual-camera setup, and water and dust resistance. LG has primarily focused on the display which it calls Full Vision display, aiming to give users the maximum use of it. The LG G6 also comes pre-loaded with Google Assistant. The smartphone is available in three color options of Mystic White, Astro Black, and Ice Platinum, and is currently placed at $650 (Rs 42,000 approximately) in the US.
