The 'Productivity Mode' allows one to pin apps to the navigation bar on the tablet.
Motorola’s last known tablets were the XOOM 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition, launched way back in 2011. Motorola under Lenovo, has been successfully launching smartphones with the latest ones being the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Now, a new report suggests that Motorola could be working on a new tablet. The report also hints at a new “Productivity Mode” feature, the blueprint of which is shared as well.
A trusted source of Android Police has shared this bit of information about Motorola’s tablet. Adding to the information provided, the tablet is likely to be sized around 9 to 10 inches. The Motorola tablet is also said to flaunt a premium look and feel. There is no information regarding the specifications of the Motorola tablet. Details on the “Productivity feature” have been shared though, which can be seen in the screenshot shared of its blueprint. This feature will be available via a toggle to switch it on/off and will allow users to pin the apps they want on the navigation bar.
Users can switch between the apps they want by tapping on the icon present in the navigation bar. To close the app, one can long press it and drag it upwards. The screenshot shared shows a split screen with two apps running side by side. The navigation bar also shows the presence of an app drawer icon placed next to the controls. While this feature seems exciting, 9to5Google says that it is quite similar to the Lenovo Yoga Book. The placing of the controls and apps are also similar to the Yoga Book, however, the toggle on/off button would be something new in the Motorola tablet. Since Lenovo is the parent company of Motorola, the inclusion of this feature does not seem surprising. ALSO READ: Lenovo Yoga Book Review
