Xiaomi Redmi 4A to go on sale today at 3:00 PM; here’s everything you need to know

Xiaomi will be hosting an exclusive sale today for its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi 4A. The smartphone will be exclusively available on e-commerce platform Amazon India, and the sale is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM. There is however a catch in this sale, as it is only for Amazon Prime members. Given the consideration that Amazon has begun its Great Indian Sale from today, the stock is quite limited on this one. Amazon has also restricted the purchase limit to only one device per customer.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be available in two color variants of Gold and Grey. The Rose Gold variant of the smartphone is not going on sale. While the Great Indian Sale has a slew of offers like cash back on Citibank credit and debit cards, the Redmi 4A will not be eligible for the cash back offer. There is only an EMI option which starts at Rs 535 per month. As for Amazon Prime subscription, members who are in the trial period is also eligible for the sale. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be priced at Rs 5,999.

Xiaomi Redmi 4A specifications

In terms of specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core chipset paired with Adreno 308 GPU. In the photography department, the Redmi 4A sports a 13-megapixel primary camera of aperture f/2.2, and 5-element lens and LED flash. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.2. The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is fuelled by a 3,120mAh battery. The connectivity options available on the smartphone include dual-SIM card support (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The smartphone however lacks on one thing, and that is the fingerprint sensor. On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.
