
Vivo X9s Plus will compete with Oppo F3.
An upcoming Vivo smartphone, the Vivo X9s Plus, has been spotted on TENAA. Most of the features and specifications of the device are revealed in the leak. The specifications point to Vivo X9s Plus being a mid-range device. The smartphone was recently certified by the Ministry of Industry radio frequency in China.
On the design front, the Vivo device is simple with no additions and frills. The leaked image shows the phone in a pale Rose Gold color variant. On the front of the phone is the display, the earpiece grille, proximity sensors, selfie cameras and a home button. The physical home button also includes a fingerprint scanner. On the back of the device is the camera module along with flash.
Vivo X9s Plus features, specifications
Vivo X9s Plus runs Android Nougat OS out-of-the-box. The phone comes with a 5.85-inch FHD (1080p) OLED display. Under the hood runs a 1.95GHz octa-core processor. The smartphone comes in just one internal storage option: 64GB coupled with 4GB RAM.
The highlight of the smartphone is the dual-selfie camera setup. The resolution of the front cameras is 20-megapixel and 5-megapixel. The rear camera is 16-megapixel and comes with single LED flash. The phone comes with a 3920mAh battery. Vivo X9s Plus is expected to be launched in in China in the coming weeks though it is unclear if the smartphone is a China-specific model or will roll out globally.
The smartphone will intensify the presently popular dual-selfie camera war. The phone is the successor to Vivo X9 and X9 Plus launched late last year. There is no word on whether Vivo will also launch a Vivo X9s device along with the X9s Plus. The phone will take on the newly launched Oppo F3 and Oppo F3 Plus. Both the smartphones come with dual selfie cameras and depending on the pricing of the Vivo X9s Plus, the device will compete directly with either.
It remains to be seen if the phone will follow traditional dual front camera devices with one camera focussing on information, while the other capturing depth. Alternatively, the Oppo F3 reserves one camera for single shots and the other for group photos.
In the case of the Oppo F3 and Oppo F3 Plus, both the smartphones run Android Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. While the Oppo F3 Plus is a phablet with 6-inch HD display, Oppo F3 is smaller at 5.5-inch FHD device. The Oppo F3 comes with the MediaTek MT6750T 64-bit octa-core 1.5GHz Processor and Oppo F3 Plus boasts of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 Quad-Core 1.95 GHz Processor. The dual selfie cameras have 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel resolution. Oppo F3 Plus comes with a 16-megapixel camera whereas the Oppo has a 13-megapixel camera. The Oppo F3 Plus is powered by a 4000mAh battery while the Oppo F3 has a 3200mAh battery. Oppo F3 Plus is more of a premium smartphone with a price tag of Rs 30,990. Oppo F3 is available for Rs 19,990.
