Lenovo K7 Note will focus on speed as well as improved performance.
Lenovo has been teasing an upcoming Note series smartphone on social media and is hinting at the features of the upcoming device. Though the phone has not been made official and none of the specifications are actually mentioned, Lenovo is giving some clues as what the specifications could be. The hashtag the brand is using for the smartphone is #KillerNote and clearly, the smartphone will be a part of the Note series. Also, the term ‘Killer’ tells us that it could be the next Lenovo K Note-series smartphone.
The phone is believed to be the Lenovo K7 Note. Lenovo announced the K6 Note in India last December and the phablet was priced at Rs 13,999. In terms of specifications, the teasers mention a lag-free device. The “monstrous processor” teased by Lenovo aims at a fast and speedy multitasking experience. While the exact specifications are still a mystery, rumors have suggested that the smartphone will come either a Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660 chipset. Lenovo has already called Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 435 chipsets “ordinary”. ALSO READ: Lenovo now offering Armor Pack to Moto Z2 Play Flipkart buyers: Report

Looking at Lenovo taking on Snapdragon, it could also be a MediaTek SoC that powered the phablet. Other specifications are unknown. Taking a look at the Lenovo K6 specs, the phablet comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM. The internal storage is 32GB, which can be expanded using a microSD card. On the rear is a 16-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter is on the front. Comparing the device to the upcoming K7 Note, the display is likely to stay the same but the internal storage is likely to be bumped up to 64GB. The RAM too might get a boost and as Lenovo is harping on about the speed, come with 4GB RAM. The camera could be the same on the resolution front but come with additional software. Presently, this is only conjecture and the actual specifications will be known only once the smartphone is announced.
Considering the intensity of the teasers, the official announcement is likely not too far off. The device will most likely come with Android Nougat OS and be priced in the less than Rs 15,000 price bracket. If the teasers are a hint then the smartphone will be aimed at Chinese competition. Considering none of the specifications are currently known, it is difficult to say just which devices the phone will compete with.
