The Meizu X2 is speculated to be successor to the Meizu X launched last year.
Just last week, Meizu launched its dual display smartphones, the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus in China, and it looks like the company is working on another dual display smartphone. The smartphone in question is speculated to be the Meizu X2, successor to the Meizu X that was launched last year in November. Meizu is expected to launch the X2 later this year.
As reported by Playful Droid, two live images of the alleged Meizu X2 show the smartphone’s rear panel with a secondary display, and it is circular in shape. In one image, the time is shown while on the other the charging sign is shown. The dual display on this smartphone is different from that of the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus where the secondary display is rectangular in shape. Also, the display is placed on the left corner of the smartphones, just below the dual rear camera lens.
Coming back to the Meizu X2, the smartphone sports a single rear camera with LED flash which is located on the top left corner. In terms of design, the smartphone appears to feature a glass back with rounded edges sporting a similar look to the Meizu X. The Meizu logo is also visibly placed on the bottom part of the smartphone. Other than these two leaked images, there isn’t information as yet about the Meizu X2′s specifications. Recalling the Meizu X, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P20 octa-core processor. The smartphone is available in two variants of 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage. For photography, it sports 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
