YotaPhone 3 with e-ink display leaked

The YotaPhone 3 could feature a full E-ink display at the back.

YotaPhone is expected to launch its third dual-display smartphone this year. The YotaPhone 3 is expected to continue with the rear E-ink display like the YotaPhone and YotaPhone 2. A new leak has now revealed the smartphone’s design and specifications as well. It is expected to launch first in Russia and China with prices starting at $350 (approximately Rs 22,400).

Press renders of the alleged YotaPhone 3 were posted on a Russian website (spotted by GSMArena). Unlike the YotaPhone and YotaPhone 2, the YotaPhone 3 will sport a more refined design keeping up with the trend of smartphones these days. Judging by the images, the smartphone has large non-screen space at the top and bottom of the screen, and almost no bezels on the sides.

The front panel has a Home button which will possibly double up as a fingerprint sensor. As for the secondary E-ink display, it spreads across the rear panel with three capacitive touch buttons and the YOTA branding below. The rear-camera lens with LED flash is placed at the top left corner. One of the images shows both the front and rear panels of the YotaPhone 3 together and somehow causes confusion. However the E-ink print can help differentiate between the two displays. ALSO READ: Meizu Pro 7, Pro 7 Plus with dual screens launched: Price, specifications, features

In terms of specifications, the YotaPhone 3 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display on the front. The E-ink display size isn’t known as yet. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone could launch with two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB. In the photography department, the smartphone is rumored to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel front camera. It could be powered by a 3,200mAh battery, and come with USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. On the software front, it could run the Android-based YOTA OS 3.0 dual operating system.
