Vivo could be on its way to add a new smartphone to its Y series. The smartphone in question is the Y69 which has been spotted in a leaked slideshow, revealing its detailed specifications. This is the first time that we have come across any leaks about the purported Vivo Y69 as there is no official word on its pricing or availability as yet.
Spotted by Slash Leaks, the leaked slideshow is quite blurred but gives a good enough look at the smartphone. The Vivo Y69 is seen in gold color, sporting what looks like a metal body. Like a lot of Vivo smartphones, the highlight of the Y69 will also be its front camera for selfies. There is a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and soft light flash. The smartphone houses a physical home button up front, which could double as a fingerprint scanner.
According to the leak, the Vivo Y69 will feature a 5.5-inch HD display. It will be powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and paired with Mali T860 GPU. The smartphone is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. In the photography department, the Vivo Y69 will sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. The smartphone will be fueled by a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, it will run Android 7.0 Nougat with FunTouch OS 3.2 layered on top. Connectivity options are likely to include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG and GPS. Vivo is yet to announce anything official about the Y69, but the company is currently preparing to launch a new smartphone in India on September 7, called the V7 Plus. The company has been quite silent on the V7 Plus with hardly anything known about it. The Vivo V7 Plus will presumably be successor to the V5 Plus, meaning that it will also be a selfie-centric smartphone.
