
Panasonic also announced that its 4K Pro TVs will get HDR10+ support via a firmware update, later this year.
IFA 2017 is yet to commence, but companies have already started unveiling their products. Earlier today, Acer unveiled its slimmest all-in-one computer, Predator Orion 9000 series gaming desktops, and a monitor with HDR display. Asus also RoG Strix gaming laptop, 2-in-1 laptop and Mixed Reality headset. Now, Panasonic has also unveiled a bunch of products at the pre-IFA event, including Google Assistant powered smart speaker, 4K OLED TVs and more.
To begin with, the SC-GA10 is a Hi-Fi speaker powered by Google Assistant. It features one 8cm woofer with dual voice coils, and two 20mm soft dome tweeters. With the smart speaker, Panasonic is trying to emphasize on its music playing capabilities. It is compatible with Google Play Music, Spotify, Dezeer, and TuneIn Radio. The Panasonic smart speaker will also be able to do web searches, and let you control other smart devices with your voice.
Panasonic will also release a Music Control app along with the smart speaker, which will let you connect two SC-GA10 speakers for stereo listening or use Party Mode to stream music over Bluetooth or via AUX. The speaker will be available ‘this winter’, and details about pricing will be announced later. The company also introduced EZ1000-series OLED TVs with 77-inch and 65-inch displays. One of the highlights of the TVs is the THX 4K certification along with Technics-tuned ‘soundblade’, rated at 70 watts. Other is the EZ950 series, which will have two screen size options – 55-inch and 65-inch. All TVs will also get HDR10+ support, which will be enabled via a firmware update, later this year. Lastly, Panasonic also unveiled RP-HTX80Bs Bluetooth-enabled wireless headphones. It features 40mm full range drivers with neodymium magnets, and a built-in rechargeable battery that can offer up to 20 hours of continuous music playback on a single charge. Once again, details related to pricing and release date are not available yet.
