The Nubia Z17 lite comes with average features and specifications, but retains the flagship camera.
Nubia has announced the Z17 Lite smartphone in China. The smartphone is a more budget variant of the Nubia Z17 flagship launched earlier this year. Recently, a more advanced variant of the Nubia Z17 with 8GB RAM was spotted online leading to rumors of the phone launching soon. However, instead of the new advanced variant, Nubia has announced the smaller and cheaper ‘lite’ variant of the flagship. In terms of design and features, the smartphone is pretty similar to the Nubia Z17, but the specifications are a watered down version of the original.
Nubia has already commenced the pre-registrations for the phone, and there are two variants of the device. The base variant is priced at RMB 2,499 (approximately Rs 24,000), while the more advanced version comes for RMB 2,799 (approximately Rs 27,000). There is no word on an Indian launch yet. Nubia Z17 Lite is available in three colors – Black Gold, Obsidian Black, and Aurora Blue. The device retains some of the flagship features like a dual rear camera, and the sleek design.
The phone comes in a metal unibody design with the color highlights around the edges. The fingerprint sensor is on the back of the smartphone, under the camera module. The Nubia branding is right under the fingerprint sensor. The front of the smartphone is bare except for the standard circular capacitive button in the center of the display. Nubia Z17 retains the bezels on the top and the bottom. The smartphone is a variant between the Z17 and the Z17 mini. ALSO READ: Nubia Z17 variant with 8GB RAM spotted online
