Twitter Night Mode for desktop goes live.
Twitter has finally rolled out Night Mode for its desktop site. The feature is already available on Twitter’s Android and iOS apps. The ‘Night Mode’ for Twitter desktop was in its testing phase. The feature helps the twitter timeline to appears darker, making it easier on one’s eyes.
Twitter’s blog reads, “You can now enable night mode on https://twitter.com. Also available on Twitter for iOS and Android”. To enable Night Mode on the desktop, click on your profile photo, then select Night Mode, which will appear as the last option, and has a crescent moon icon next to it. Enabling Night mode turns Twitter’s white and light blue theme into a dark navy blue. The feature is off by default, and you have to manually go and turn the feature on. To disable Night Mode, just click on the button again.

Twitter apps like TweetDeck already display with a dark background. The feature is already available on Android and iOS apps. On iOS, all you need to do it Open the Twitter for iOS app -> Tap your profile icon -> Tap on the night mode icon. On Android devices, open Twitter -> tap either the navigation menu icon or your profile icon -> next to Night mode, drag the slider to turn on or off.

Twitter recently also launched new Explore feature that allows users to sort tweets based on interest. Twitter also rolled out the mute feature, which allows users to mute specific words from their timeline. This feature came when Twitter was blamed and criticized for abuse and trolling on its platform. Twitter rolled out a new font as part of a cosmetic upgrade to its platform. However, that didn’t go down well with a lot of Twitter users.
