
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is priced at Rs 67,900 in India.
Samsung has officially announced the commercial launch of its latest phablet Galaxy Note 8 in 42 countries, including the US, Canada, Singapore, Korea, and major European markets. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is also set to start shipping in India from September 21, a day before iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus go up for pre-order in the country.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is priced at Rs 67,900 in India, and went up for pre-orders on September 12. It will be available via Amazon India, Samsung’s online store, and select offline Samsung stores as well. As part of the launch, Samsung is offering multiple offers on the purchase of the phablet.
There are discounts available under the ‘Samsung Upgrade’ scheme, where you can exchange either an old Samsung device, or a device from any other brand. The phablet can also be bought with EMI plans starting from Rs 2,829 per month. In addition, Samsung is also offering a one-time screen replacement, and a free Convertible Wireless Charger along with your purchase. Jio users can avail up to 448GB of extra 4G data added to their account over a period of eight months on the purchase of the Galaxy Note 8. Successor to the ill-fated Samsung Note 7 (which never made it to the Indian shore), the Galaxy Note 8 brings better design, new features, and an enhanced S Pen. The phablet now boasts a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. In India, it will be available with 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core SoC under the hood, aided by 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy Note 8 is Samsung’s first dual-camera smartphone. It features a pair of 12-megapixel wide-angle lens with f/1.7 aperture, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture at the back. Notably, both the lenses have Optical Image Stabilization. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization for selfies and video calling. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Note 8 has support for 4G with VoLTE, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB Type-C. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the box.
