The month of September ends on a high note for Xiaomi.

Adding another milestone to its record, Xiaomi has today announced that it shipped over 10 million smartphones in the month of September itself. Xiaomi Vice President and India Head Manu Kumar Jain took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the milestone.

“Happy to share that @Xiaomi shipped 10M+ smartphones in September. Thank you everyone for your support in this incredible journey!” his tweet reads. It is not known if the company shipped these number of smartphones globally or in India. But, looking at company’s previous record, it is evident that it is riding high on success. Also, the shipment number includes all the Mi and Redmi smartphones launched by the company so far.

The Chinese manufacturer has unarguably emerged as the dominator of the smartphone market in India with its noted launches like the Redmi Note 4, Redmi 4A, Redmi 4. The latest one to follow is the Xiaomi Mi A1 that runs stock Android 7.0 Nougat as a part of Google’s Android One program. Interestingly, the Mi A1 debuted in India in early September and is available for sale in India. It is speculated that Xiaomi might have managed to ship a good number of Mi A1 units out of the total Xiaomi smartphone units shipped last month. In August, Xiaomi announced to ship over 25 million smartphones in India over its three-year run. Going by company’s word, it sold 22,000 phones per day over the last three years. Contributing to company’s notable growth is the Redmi Note 4 smartphone that launched first among the lot this year in January. The company previously announced shipping over 5 million units of the Redmi Note 4 smartphone in six months of its launch. The success further continued with the Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 generating an unprecedented number of sales in their category. Another reason attributed to the Xiaomi unbeatable feat is the offline expansion of its business. While the company was only selling products online, it was only recently that Xiaomi started rolling out Mi Home Stores out of Chinese borders. There are currently three Mi Home Stores in India with two located in Bengaluru and one in Delhi- NCR. Also, Xiaomi has partnered with a number of offline retail chains to sell more of its products.

As of now, Xiaomi is expected to soon release the Mi MiX 2 smartphone in India. There’s is no word on the price and availability of the smartphone though.
