Lenovo’s latest budget smartphone, the K6 Power is priced at Rs 9,999. It is equipped with a full-HD display, a fingerprint sensor and a 4,000mAh battery.

Lenovo has always tried to push the boundaries with its budget and mid-range offerings. The company has now expanded its budget smartphone portfolio by introducing a new smartphone in India called the K6 Power. It was unveiled earlier this year at IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany, along with the Lenovo K6 and the Lenovo K6 Note. Last year’s Vibe K5 Plus was one of the affordable smartphones with a 5-inch full HD display, and the same continues with the K6 Power too. The new smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and a massive 4,000mAh battery. At its price point, the Lenovo K6 Power will compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus and the Meizu M3s. Here’s how the K6 Power fares against its competitors on the basis of their price, specifications and features.

Price and availability: The Lenovo K6 Power will set you back by Rs 9,999, and it will be exclusively available to purchase from Flipkart starting December 6 at 12PM. The Redmi 3s Prime is priced at Rs 8,999 and available via Flipkart and Mi.com/in, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus is priced at Rs 8,999 and available via Amazon India, whereas the Meizu M3s will set you back by Rs 9,299 and available to purchase via Amazon India.

Display: The K6 Power houses a 5-inch full-HD (1080p) display, whereas the Redmi 3s Prime and Meizu M3s sport a 5-inch HD (720p) display. The Coolpad Note 3 Plus, on the other hand, comes with a slightly large 5.5-inch full-HD display.

Processor, RAM and storage: At the heart of the K6 Power and Redmi 3s Prime is Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC (eight Cortex A53 cores), paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. While the Coolpad Note 3 Plus is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit MT6753 octa-core SoC (eight Cortex A53 cores) with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM, the Meizu M3s is powered by MediaTek’s MT6750 octa-core SoC (eight Cortex A53 cores) paired with Mali T860 GPU and 3GB of RAM. While the K6 Power, Redmi 3s Prime and Meizu M3s are equipped with 32GB of onboard storage, the Coolpad Note 3 Plus comes with 16GB of onboard storage. All smartphones also come with microSD card slot for further expansion.

Cameras: All smartphones feature 13-megapixel rear cameras with LED flash and full HD video recording capabilities. While the Redmi 3s Prime and Meizu M3s feature 5-megapixel selfie cameras, the K6 Power and Coolpad Note 3 Plus are equipped with a slightly larger resolution, 8-megapixel cameras.

Battery: The K6 Power comes with a 4,000mAh battery, whereas the Redmi 3s Prime comes with a slightly larger capacity 4,100mAh battery. The Meizu M3s is equipped with a 3,020mAh battery, whereas the Coolpad Note 3 Plus comes with a 3,000mAh battery.

OS and connectivity: On the software front, Lenovo’s K6 Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vibe UI running on top, whereas the Redmi 3s Prime also runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 running on top. The Meizu M3s and Coolpad Note 3 Plus, on the other hand, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based custom UI. In terms of connectivity, all smartphones feature dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The Redmi 3s Prime and K6 Power also include VoLTE voice calling support.
