Lenovo and Motorola have sold over 13 million smartphones on Flipkart alone so far.

On the sidelines of launching the Lenovo K6 Power at an event in New Delhi, Lenovo revealed that along with Motorola, it has managed to sell more than 13 million smartphones on Flipkart. The company also mentioned that one in every four smartphones sold online is a Lenovo.

Flipkart’s Ajay Yadav mentioned that Flipkart has a reach in 2,200 cities across India, covering over 10,000 PIN codes. He further added saying that over 50 percent customers on Flipkart came back to purchase a Lenovo brand smartphone. Lenovo’s country head, Sudhin Mathur also highlighted that Lenovo is now India’s top selling brand on online platform, and also the number two 4G smartphone vendor in India. As per volume, Lenovo takes the third spot in India, whereas the company takes second spot as per brand value.

But this is not the company’s only milestone. Earlier this year in September, Motorola India head Amit Boni mentioned that the company sold a whopping one lakh units of Moto E3 Power smartphones on Flipkart on day one since launch. The recently launched Vibe K5 Note has been one of the popular smartphones from the company, which is exclusively sold on Flipkart. While the K3 Note and K4 Note smartphones were sold on Amazon India platform, for the new K6 Power smartphone, Lenovo has come back with an exclusive tie-up with Flipkart.

Interestingly, Lenovo’s Chinese rival Xiaomi is also doing well in India, Just yesterday, Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain tweeted saying Xiaomi sales grew by 150 percent in India, and the company sold two million smartphones in Q3 2016. Adding more online retailers and expansion into offline sales are believed to be some of the reasons behind the company’s success.
