An affordable Nokia smartphone, codenamed ‘TA-1000’ has been spotted on China’s 3C certification website.
It’s no secret that Nokia is making a comeback, and if reports are to be believed, as many as five smartphones could be unveiled at MWC 2017 in February. Now, a new smartphone has been spotted online having passed passed China Compulsory Certification (3C).
The Nokia smartphone spotted online comes with a model number ‘TA-1000’, and as per the listing, it features standard 5V/2A charging support, AndroidPure reports. Unfortunately, that’s about all the information that is available about this smartphone. But when you consider the lack of fast-charging support, we can safely assume that Nokia TA-1000 is an affordable smartphone. Speaking of upcoming affordable Nokia smartphones, reports suggest that the Nokia E1 could be the cheapest of them all. Based on leaks, the Nokia E1 is said to feature a 5.5-inch display, an entry-level Snapdragon chipset, 1GB of RAM, and it will run on Android Nougat 7.0.
There have been leaks of another affordable Nokia smartphone, dubbed Nokia D1C. This smartphone is expected to be launching in two variants, differentiated by size. One variant will reportedly feature a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and a combination of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras. The second variant is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display, and 3GB of RAM, while the rest of the specifications are likely to remain the same. Prices for the Nokia D1C are expected to start from $150 (Rs 10,000 approximately). RELATED: Nokia to release up to five new Android smartphones at MWC 2017
